At Tadej Orthodontics, we’re always excited to meet new people and welcome them into our orthodontic practice family. Whether you’re interested in having an evaluation for a young child, or are specifically interested in metal braces, clear braces, or Invisalign, we want you to have a warm and friendly experience that provides you with all the information you need.
After your initial phone call to the office, we will be sending our new patient welcome packet that contains:
- Information about Dr. Tadej, Dr. Baker and our office
- a health history form
- a patient information form
- a map with directions to our office
Please fill out and bring these materials in with you to save time. There are also links to download these forms on the website.
Please note that our office policy requires that a parent or legal guardian must be present at the consultation appointment for those under 18.
At your first visit, our goal is answer all of your questions regarding orthodontic treatment. First visits usually last about an hour and a half and consist of an initial examination followed by the presentation of a treatment plan. Upon your arrival, you will be greeted by our Treatment Coordinator, who will be with you every step of the way. We will collect the completed patient information forms, dental insurance details and any other pertinent information. We will also take you on a tour of our office, take some introductory digital x-rays and photographs.
Dr. Baker or Dr. Tadej will then conduct an orthodontic examination in order to determine if or when orthodontic treatment will be necessary. This is your opportunity to get to know the doctor, have all of your questions and concerns answered, and discuss the treatment plan that is best for you. During this initial examination, we will address the following questions that cover the basics of orthodontic treatment:
- Is there a condition that orthodontics can address?
- Is treatment needed now or should treatment be delayed until appropriate growth, tooth eruption or other factors have occurred?
- What treatment procedures will be used to correct the problem?
- Do any permanent teeth need to be removed?
- How long will treatment take?
- How much will it cost?
- Will insurance cover a portion of the cost and what are my payment options?
Ready for Treatment?
If you are ready for treatment, we can start that day with diagnostic records that consist of state-of-the-art digital photographs and X-rays. Also, scans of the teeth are taken and digital images are created. Diagnostic records allow Dr. Tadej to make the “blueprint” for your treatment, and assure that no small details are overlooked. Depending on the complexity of the treatment, we may need to schedule a separate appointment to discuss your treatment plan in detail.
Our Treatment Coordinator will review the treatment plan with you. We use digital images to help explain the problems, and we have visual aides to help you understand what orthodontic appliances look like and how they work. We also have a collection of before and after photographs of patients with similar orthodontic problems that have been corrected.
During your first visit we will also discuss financing for treatment. We offer flexible financial arrangements that will be suited to your individual circumstances, to pay for your orthodontic treatment. We also accept assignment of benefit from many Insurance plans and file the necessary papers with the insurance company. We work hard to make orthodontics affordable.
